Has anybody here seen my old friend Abraham?
Can you tell me where he’s gone?
He freed a lot of people,
But it seems the good they die young.
You know, I just looked around and he’s gone.
Anybody here seen my old friend John?
Can you tell me where he’s gone?
He freed a lot of people,
But it seems the good they die young.
I just looked around and he’s gone.
Anybody here seen my old friend Martin?
Can you tell me where he’s gone?
He freed a lot of people,
But it seems the good they die young.
I just looked around and he’s gone.
Didn’t you love the things that they stood for?
Didn’t they try to find some good for you and me?
And we’ll be free
Some day soon, and it’s a-gonna be one day …
Anybody here seen my old friend Bobby?
Can you tell me where he’s gone?
I thought I saw him walkin’ up over the hill,
With Abraham, Martin and John.

Nothing like the truth, put clearly, to drive home a point!! Thanks!
Thanks for the reminder…
Classic song, not often referenced in contemporary evangelical Christian circles these days.

One of most favorite songs.. I’m Mark above, my eyes tear up and there is such a longing in my heart… Perfect Catch for today…
Hope you and Marti are feeling better.
i’ll 2nd Kathy’s & Therese comment’s about hoping all of the Fisher family is feeling much better and thx to you both for reminding me too… 🙂
Thank you… we are, except for this nagging cough which appears to be a part of this little bug.
Ditto – my eyes fill with tears every time I hear this song – and there is a longing to be home. But evidently God is not done with the rest of us yet so we must continue the good fight. But it is very comforting to have the Catch family to love us and help us find our way.
John & Marti – hope you are feeling better!!
