Dear Catch Community,
From time to time, it’s necessary to course-correct as an organization grows. For the Catch Ministry, this is one of those times.
In our early days, the Catch was a glorified blog. But everything changed when our Chairman of the Board convinced Marti to join the team. Now, it’s often said that I am the minister, and Marti is the ministry. She is the apostle, setting the direction for our growth and expansion, while I serve as a prophetic voice for biblical Christians engaging with culture.
Our purpose remains steadfast: to develop disciples and make real our vision of introducing the gospel of welcome — grace turned outward — to everyone, everywhere. Some might see this vision as overly ambitious, but considering the virtual world is the largest unreached people group on the planet, with over 5.3 billion active users, it’s a necessary mission.
We are a community in communion with God, not confined by a building. It’s not where we meet but that we meet. Our ministry is real as long as we gather to glorify Him. A local Christian community alone could never reach the whole world, but together, with you, we can.
The Catch Ministry is a platform for our entire community. We are grateful for our Board of Directors, Vanguard Leaders, Assistant Pastor Wayne Bridegroom, and Director of Discipleship, John Shirk, along with our many exceptionally talented volunteers who contribute their gifts to furthering our purpose and vision.
Cynthia Cody, our Prayer Ministry’s Pastor, leads an amazing army of Prayer Warriors who provide spiritual covering for the entire Catch Ministry. We encourage you to request prayer for specific needs, as our Prayer Warriors are committed to praying for each of you until the Lord completes every work. We are eternally grateful for such blessings.
And then our all-important MemberPartners are the catalyst for advancing the Catch Ministry and its initiatives — and we thank each member. Because of their unified efforts, we have not skipped a heartbeat when performing our responsibilities to the Ministry, its expansion plans, and the variety of people we serve. They are a faithful mainstay not restricted to a particular market segment or age group who ensure the message of Grace is delivered far and wide.
Our expanded territory includes reaching over 2,500 individuals daily through our growing Internet cyber church community, with Sunday’s Church at the Catch gathering attendees, representing multiple generations worshiping side by side. Our ministry encompasses weekly Bible studies, active social media engagement, and podcasts featuring a diverse range of prominent guests. We provide ongoing support to our community through membership interaction, a 24/7 interactive prayer ministry, and a discipleship ministry that serves over 143 countries. Our team offers one-on-one counseling and connects members with local ministries through a personal ‘triage’ network.
Currently, we’re placing a special emphasis on reaching those in their twenties and thirties. This generation is facing similar societal stresses and asking the same deep questions about love, meaning, community, peace, and justice that many experienced during the 60s.
We want to create multigenerational relationships that cultivate flourishing faith in both young and old. Instead of simply passing the baton to the next generation, we’re building a more functional, biblical picture of the body of Christ — an entire community of faith, spanning the full lifespan, working together to fulfill God’s purposes.
In essence, we are in the business of fostering relationships in support of a new movement — a “Relationship Movement” — through genuine, one-on-one connections.
As a community, we are committed to extending ourselves beyond our circles, reaching out to those in the GenZ and Millennial generations with the same grace that has been extended to us. You play a vital role in this movement. You are the one to build relationships — one person at a time — helping them find their place within this vibrant community of faith.
Together, let’s continue to glorify God by building a community of relationships that reflect His love and grace to everyone, everywhere.
