The story of Esther is a story in which timing plays a critical role. Just consider the theme: “for such a time as this.” Esther finds herself in the right place at the right time to assist in saving the lives of her countrymen and women, the Jews.
In the same way, you and I need not look any farther than our news sources or the internet to realize how desperate these times are today, especially for Millennials and those who come after them. They’re the ones who are going to have to inherit the chaos of this present age. Consequently they have a deep spiritual hunger, but no trust in institutions, the church, or in authority in general. They look at the devastating war zones in the world spilling over into colleges and universities everywhere, the rickety global marketplace, the unknowns of climate change, and the resulting economic uncertainty the world is in, and no wonder this generation is living in fear and isolation. We live in a world stripped of morals, truth, respect, and civility.
As it was for Esther, so it is for us. The time is now and those being called to act are you and me. God has specifically laid the Millennials and those who come after them on our hearts here at the Catch. We are here for you for such a time as this. And who better than us? We stretch across multiple generations. We have the heart and the Spirit that fueled the Jesus Movement. We have many among us who knew it wasn’t over. We knew there would be more. And we are prepared to act. The Millennials and younger are going into a dangerous future, unprepared. Something must be done. If we keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the younger generations will come from some other place. Who knows but that we were put here for such a time as this?
Don’t miss a day this month as we delve into the story of Esther and the story of us and what God would have us do in these challenging times.

Esther is one of my favorite books in the Bible!! Thank you for sharing this and the importance of doing our part to tell the world about Jesus. Thank you for reminding me that I have been placed where I am for such a time as this. Keep up the good work!!!
Action is an antidote to anxiety.
As Jon Stewart of The Daily Show recently stated, “There is a thirst for conviction, leadership, discipline…”
His guest that evening, Retired Army General Stanley McChrystal, told the audience, “You can have a lot of convictions [that] you tell people about, but if you don’t live them, they’re zero.”
Here is the conversation between Jon and the General:

Character is what Angels know of us.”
