There was a time — not too long ago — when a generation on the edge of despair was set ablaze by the Spirit of God. It wasn’t polished. It wasn’t programmed.
But it was powerful.
The Jesus Movement awakened a whole generation with a vision of real faith — raw, relational, and alive. Some of us remember that time. Some of us lived it.
And now? It’s our turn to carry it forward — for such a time as this.
“Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction.” — Proverbs 29:18
We’ve seen what happens when revelation grips a generation. Now, we’re being called to bring that same fire into a new one.
Step Back: Remember Where God Met You
Before we move forward, we need to remember. Remember what it felt like to search for meaning in a world unraveling. To be in our twenties and thirties, tired of the noise, hungry for truth, rebellious, but reachable. And then — to be found by Jesus.
We didn’t come to faith because someone had a five-point sermon. We came because someone came close. They cared enough to walk with us. To listen. To show us what Jesus really looked like. That kind of love changed us.
And it still can.
Step In: This Generation Needs That Same Love
Many of our Millennials and Gen Z friends within the Catch Ministry are facing their own storm — loneliness, anxiety, spiritual confusion and a deep craving for something real.
They’ve walked away from traditional churches — not out of rebellion, but because they didn’t find relationships there. They don’t need a show; they need someone. We can’t reach them from a distance. We have to step in … and stay.
Not to lecture. Not to critique. But to understand, to walk alongside, and to love.
One-on-One: Leaving A Legacy
The Jesus Movement didn’t spread through strategy. It spread through relationships — one person at a time. That legacy is ours to carry now.
Be a friend to someone younger. Invite them into your life. Share your real story — not just the polished version. Share your questions, your middle; your faith is still in progress.
This is where we begin: with people, not platforms.
A Movement That Multiplies
When generations walk together, the body of Christ comes alive. This isn’t about handing down tradition — it’s about handing over trust.
Millennials and Gen Z are already on the front lines — in schools, industries, and online spaces the rest of us may never touch. But we can equip them. Encourage them. Champion them.
Together, we multiply the reach of the Gospel — not by doing more, but by doing it together.
The Fire Still Burns
That revelation from Proverbs 29:18? It still stands. Without vision, people drift. But with vision — shared, embodied, and lived out — they find life.
We carry that vision. We live with the fire. And it’s time to pass it on.
So Let’s Go
Step into your story, and then, step into someone else’s. Start small. Start real. Start now.
This isn’t about a movement. It’s a legacy we’ve been entrusted to carry.
We are not done.
We are not too late.
We were made for this moment.
For such a time as this.
