GRACE 2U — Grace in the Wild

Χάρις ἐξερχομένη — Grace Turned Outward
“We believe grace is a force. Wild. Free. Alive.”

🎭 Cold Open Sketch: The Tarzan Debacle

Cue jungle drums. John bounds on stage in a Tarzan costume, chest out, hair wild (wig), belting:

🎵 “Born free, as free as the wind blows…” 🎵

He swings a rope. Or tries to. It snaps. The crowd gasps. A potted fern dies.

Marti enters from stage left, stone-faced in black boots and a Manhattan trench coat.

“My name is Marti. And I am not swinging on any rope with a man wearing a loincloth and a theology degree.”

John: “But Jane!”

Marti: “TARZAN need coffee and a job.”

[Audience laughter. Jungle sound fades. Theme music in.]

📖 Scripture Spark: Luke 15:4–6 — The Lost Sheep

Jesus tells a story about leaving 99 sheep to find the one that wandered off.

“Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine… and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?”

Yeah. That’s wild grace.

It means leaving safe places to go where things aren’t filtered, neat, or approved by the elders.

Sometimes grace chases after someone who’s been disowned — like the father who kicks out his daughter… then can’t sleep until he goes out, searching, desperate to make it right.

That’s wild.
That’s real.
That’s grace.

🎶 Bonus soundtrack: “Lookin’ for love in all the wrong places…”
