We’re all in this together
When we reach
We can fly
Know inside
We can make it
We’re all in this together
Once we see
Theres a chance
That we have
And we take it
Here at the Catch Ministry, we’ve taken a chance on virtual relationships and found out that virtual relationships are real relationships. We have a growing family, not just representing numbers in a data bank, but brothers and sisters with hearts and souls, joys and sorrows. We’ve been walking with each other — some of us going back as many as eight years to the beginning of the Catch Ministry as a cyber-church — and we have found we are friends; we are family; we are the body of Christ, and we are all in this together.
And we are finding out what’s possible: church meetings, Bible study, discipleship, small groups, prayer groups, recovery groups, counseling, learning-centers — virtually anything and everything you can think of. We are discovering our gifts, deepening our relationships, planning our ministries, discussing our options, and loving and caring for each other. The body of Christ is at work and connecting in cyberspace, all over the world.
We feel Jimmy’s love for the kids in his Montessori school in Hong Kong, and Bob’s pain in Iowa over losing his brother, and Dennis’s longing for his son to find a Christian mentor two states away, and Paul’s anxiety over his son in California. We are being instructed by Wayne on the true meaning of justice and finding out from Roberta how to respect those who are different from us as made in the image of God.
And this has all happened because of you — because you have followed us, supported us, prayed for us and paid back what you have received from us by being boots on the ground as God’s representative wherever you are.
“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” (Romans 12:4,5)
The idea of belonging is central to following Christ. We belong to Christ and through Christ we belong to God and through God, we belong to each other. We are all together. No longer alone, we are cared for and loved and looked after by God. It’s all about knowing the security of His love and acceptance that comes through Christ’s forgiveness of our sins. In Christ, we all belong.
We’re all in this together once we see theres a chance that we have and we take it.
Our campaign On This Side of Eternity has begun and we would like to thank the following people as our “First Responders.”
