‘Are you ready?’

OIP

“Are you ready to meet the Lord?”

It was THE question of the Jesus Movement. Marti used to ask it of at least one person she met at 30,000 feet on each one of her flights (she bid the short trips — five a day — so she could talk to more people). “Is there any reason you couldn’t ask the Lord into your heart right now while we’re 30,000 feet closer to heaven?” In three years no one turned her down.

Are you ready to meet the Lord?

Are your sins forgiven?

Do you know Jesus?

Are you going to heaven?

Are you bothered by any of these questions?

Are you ready to meet the Lord?

Are you right with Jesus?

Are you moving in the right direction?

Are you scared about the future?

Do the signs of the times make you anxious or hopeful?

Do you have sins you need to confess?

Do you have people with whom you need to set things straight?

Do you worry who’s in control?

Do you think you’re on the right path?

Is Jesus within your heart?

Are you ready to meet the Lord?

Are you happy about seeing Him face to face?

When you look at your life, are there things you are embarrassed about?

Are there things you wish you could change?

If you knew Christ was coming back tomorrow would it change how you live today?

Are you ready to meet the Lord?

Do you really believe God loves you just as you are?

Do you think you have to do something to deserve His love?

Do you believe that the God of Jesus loves you beyond worthiness and unworthiness, beyond fidelity and infidelity, that He loves you in the morning sun and the evening rain, that He loves you when your intellect denies it, your emotions refuse it, your whole being rejects it? Do you believe that God loves without condition or reservation, and loves you this moment as you are and not as you should be?” – Brennan Manning
