Just look at the titles of a few of our Catches a couple years ago during the pandemic and look for a trend.
“Jesus is the answer”
“The truth about Jesus never gets old”
“It’s still all about Jesus”
“In the presence of the Lord”
“Jesus unscathed”
“Do you know Jesus?”
“Looking unto Jesus”
We are stuck on Jesus. What a wonderful, glorious place to be! We just can’t get enough of Jesus. And why should we? What else is there we could talk about? A pandemic? An election? A tanking economy? Racism? Street protests? A fractured country? A divided House? Yes, we can and should talk about all these things, but at the end of the day — at the end of the week, for that matter — where will we be? Will we be any closer to where we want to be? Will we be any closer to solving anything? Will we be further down the road? Or will we be stuck?
Might as well be stuck on Jesus.
Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega — the beginning and the end, and everything in between. “Through Him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made” (John 1:3). Of course, there is His power, His omnipresence, His central place in the creation of all things, but the most overwhelming thing about Him is His love for us — His personal love for each one of us. It’s intimate, all-encompassing, unconditional, individual, irrevocable, incomprehensible, and unmistakable. He carried the cross for us; He was beaten for us; He bore our sins; He took our place of punishment; all because He loves us. He did all that, and all along He was thinking about you. He didn’t do this for some vague, general concept of the human race; He did this for each of us individually. How could He do that? How could He die for each one of us and all of us at the same time? I don’t know, but He is God; ask Him.
Believe it. Bask in it. Marvel at it. Worship Him for it. And then try … just try … to get enough of Jesus. You never will.

I miss your Grace Turned Outward without Facebook. Since Mom passed away November 13 2023 I have felt like I am more on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Holidays important to Mom and we celebrated many together long ago and each year with cards and phone calls. She passed here in Nevada spending her last months with Our daughter and family. We visited then she was at the Bee Hive Senior Care Center in Mesquite. I wish all in the Catch family a Happy Thanksgiving and pray for our family. Take care, God Bless, and have a great day.
