One word of truth outweighs the world. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
Today we interviewed Os Guinness for our BlogTalkRadio show primarily to discuss his 2022 book, Zero Hour America: History’s Ultimatum Over Freedom and the Answer We Must Give. In this book Os lays out his argument that we are a civilization in crisis. The loss of any mutual understanding of truth, extreme polarization of politics, demonization of the other side, no respect for anyone who disagrees, a total breakdown of trust, and no respect for the institutions of government — they have all been “weaponized” by one side against the other.
When you hear this list you realize this didn’t happen overnight; it has happened over a period of years upon years as values on which this country has been built have been gradually eroding away. That means this is worse than climate change, it is a cultural climate change, but it’s just as big, and just as helpless feeling, like you are just one person; what can you possibly do to turn this tide?
I asked Os that question at the end of our interview and he responded with two quotes. The one above from Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, “One word of truth outweighs the world.” And what he calls the old Christian maxim: “One person with God is a majority.”

I remember some messages talking about the issues above and one answer always is the best follow Jesus. God sent him to us and always follow him no matter what. He is the brightest light of all in the midst of so much confusion. Always pray for our leaders each day. Take care, God Bless, and have a great rest of week.
